return on influence
Many people look at ROI as return on investment which is the amount of income received in relationship to the expense over a period of time. In network marketing your ROI in the initial months or even years may have you questioning if the ROI makes sense. There have been many times where we were frustrated because our efforts (time) and expenses (money) were not reflective of our income. Until we started to look at ROI a little different is when things began to make more sense for us.

Think of ROI as return on influence. You build influence by working on YOU through personal growth and building relationships. The better you get at building influence the more successful you will be.

How does one build influence in the area of network marketing you may be asking? Below are some things we have done and continue to work on to build influence.

  • Have an unwavering belief and conviction that you will succeed. When someone says “NO” to you most often they are questioning your belief in what it is that you are doing which comes down to influence.
  • Make the commitment that you will become an expert in the MLM profession. It’s a FACT that we have a Better Way. Now let’s go tell the world.
  • Expose yourself by getting involved in your community. If you are not out and about how do you expect people to know what it is that you do. You have to put yourself out there to build influence.
  • Make a new friend everyday.
  • Read books on the subject of personal growth and network marketing. My favorite is Dale Carnegie – How to Win Friends and Influence People. Key word in the title of the book – influence!
  • Do booths or expo’s on a consistant basis. They do work over time and will build influence.
  • Hang out with winners and stop hanging out with negative people.  You are a reflection of the company you keep. If you want to build influence hang out with people that have influence.
  • Be a Listener

I promise, that if you look at ROI as return on influence and work to improve your influence you WILL be successful.

    It’s easy to get discouraged in anything. Trying to build a business is a big challenge to say the least. However, staying committed to one’s goals somehow directs our subconscious mind to keep moving in that direction. If you have belief in yourself, the product and company, success becomes a matter of consistent effort.
