We talk to many people wanting to take their Vemma business to the next level and everyone is always looking for the key to success. Well I have to say that the key to success starts with “YOU” and no one else.

If you don’t become more you can’t earn more!

Over the last week I have been connecting with many top MLM money earners on Twitter and Facebook who make an excess of 1 million dollars or more a year asking them what books had the biggest impact on them on their path of personal development. I knew before asking the question to others what books would be on my list but was curious as to if some, most, or all of my books would be on their list as well.

The list below of recommended readings are great books that have influenced my life. Most everyone  I did talk to had one book in common and that was “How To Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. If you are wanting to take “YOU” to the next level in 2010 then a book from the list below is a great place to start.

  1. How To Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie – Ok, I am going old school but this one is at the top of the list. I would bet than anyone that is successful has read this book at some time in their life. A must read for those that have not read this awesome book! It is the first book you want to start with as the foundation for all principles as the foundation to success.
  2. “Go-Giver” by Bog Burg and John David Mann – The “Go-Giver” is a modern day version of “How To Win Friends and Influence People” and another great read on the road to success!
  3. “Awaken The Giant Within” by Anthony Robbins - The above 2 books are more about other people and if you are genuinly interested in other people you will win friends. Awaken The Giant is more about you and pain and pleasure principles of creating life lasting change.
  4. “The Magic Of Thinking Big” by David Schwartz – I have to be honest. I have not read this one but have it on order and will read it over the holidays. It was on the list of several people that are extremely successful that I look up to so I felt it needed to be included. I will report back as to my thoughts on the book over the holidays.
  5. “The Traveler’s Gift” by Andy Andrews - I was at a mortgage training seminar back in early 2000 and Andy Andrews was one of the key note speakers. I was extremely impressed with him and bought his book. Wow what a great book. There are 7 decisions that determine personal success that Mr. Andrews talks about in his book. Another must read!
  6. “Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman - This is a book I read while in college and one that had a huge impact on me. It is a great story that is all about living in the moment.

Question For The Post (QFTP): What is a book you have read that helped you to become a better “you”? Please comment below.

  • Teresa Robertson
I will be placing an order for these books. Love the list. Have already read a few and I am sure I will enjoy the others.
  • A great selection indeed. My favorite is "Leading An Inspired Life" by Jim Rohn. I found it through Nightingale Conant. 450 pages of Jim's best.
  • Thanks Bob!

Yes "Psycho-Cybernetics" is a great one. I have read that one it too is a must read.

Looking forward to reading "The Magic of Thinking Big"

Thanks for commenting on our blog! Your books is awesome!
  • Hi Tyler,

What an honor for John David Mann and I to have our book included on your list. Regarding "The Magic of Thinking Big" that you mentioned you have ordered - this was an amazing book that can accelerate the success of anyone who applies the author's teaching. Another book that made a huge difference in my life was written about that same time - 1960 - entitled, "Psycho-Cybernetics" by Dr. Maxwell Maltz. It will help the reader understand how and why one sabotages their success and, just as importantly, how to overcome it. Annie, thank you for your kind words, as well. Again, much appreciated, Tyler!

  • You would like "The Way of The Peaceful Warrior" it is a great book.

thank for the heads up on The Go-Giver.
  • As if I'd ever oppose to a list of books, but this one's great, Tyler! Loving that I've never heard of War of the Peaceful Warrier, will have to check that one out. I've read 1, 2, and 5...and 4 is on my to-read shelf right now.

The Traveler's Gift is one of my faves. A couple personal dev parables that are great, too, include 12 Pillars, Peaks & Valleys, Acres of Diamonds, and The Angel Inside.

Also, keep an eye out for Bob Burg and John David Mann's sequel to The Go-Giver, it's due out in February 2010!
