John McCauley Climbs a Colorado Fourteener using Verve and Vemma Thirst

Written on August 23 by Tyler Ford

John McCauley emailed us about a recent 14er climb he did. Below is his email to us that we wanted to share on our blog. Thanks for sharing John!

“As you grow older you realize that you only have one body and you better keep it healthy.  This is the philosophy of the Castlepines Parkway Starbucks Breakfast Club.

A group of nine men and woman set out to climb Mount Democrat near Breckenridge, CO.  Knowing that we would not succeed the climb on Mocha’s and Late’s, we started the climb with a VERVE energy drink.   Climbing to a height of 14,286 ft., we knew we needed an energy boost and full nutrition so that our bodies would react positively to  the physical activity that laid ahead.  After hitting the summit after a four hour climb, we grabbed a snack, took some pictures and began the decent before the noon storms rolled in.  As we started the decent we mixed our bottled water with Vemma THIRST.  THIRST gave us the nutrition we needed plus the electrolytes, amino acids, and carbohydrates to re hydrate our bodies and  secure a safe trip down the mountain.

Everyone made it home safe and all are ready to climb Mount Lincoln in the near future.  However, not before stuffing our back packs with a supply of VERVE and Vemma THIRST.”

Great job John McCauley and gang!

Mimi and I would love to make a trip to Colorado and climb one of the many 14ers in Colorado with you and your group.

Mimi’s Road to Kona, Hawaii Ironman Triathlon Vemma thought of the day. Don’t Quit!

Written on August 21 by Mimi Ford

The 2 hours and 45 minute run was a monumental day for my Kona training! It ended up to be 17 miles in 102 degrees!

There were many obstacles that made me want to shorten or end my run. With 24 minutes to go I ran out of water.  Luckily there was some nice people on the road that filled up my water bottle. They were concerned for me and wanted to give me a ride.  The plan was to run the 17 miles knowing that to finish the planned run it would make it  much easier to accomplish the goal set for Kona.

Just as it is in our Vemma business it is much easier to accomplish the goals set if the plan is followed.  If the plan says to talk to 2 people a day 5 days a week by following the plan it will help us achieve the goals set for our Vemma business.

My thought for the day was to stay on the Road to Kona! Follow the plan! Don’t Quit!

Just as this message carried over to the plan set for Vemma. Do something daily to move your Vemma business forward!

Never Quit on a difficult day!

Go For NO! YES is the Destination NO is How You Get There!

Written on August 19 by Tyler Ford

Yes is the Destination, No! is how you get there! www.goforno.com

Mimi and I have been having fun with concept of Go For NO! and it is working. About 6 months ago I stumpled upon the book Go For NO! and Mimi and I have been applying the concept to grow our Vemma business.

The more times you fail and the faster you fail the quicker you will be successful. Failure is your ability to get NO’s.The more No’s you get and the faster you get NO’s the quicker you will succeed.

We have learned to celebrate our NO’s and get excited about the world “NO”! Instead of setting “YES” goals we now set “NO” goals. We know that for every 8 to 15 “NO’s” we will get a “YES,” so the more NO’s we get the more people we are able to turn on to Vemma.

There are 3 main concepts we have applied from the book that have helped us move our business forward:

1. Get a base line for NO’s: If you count your “NO’s” you will quickly learn how many “NO’s” it takes you to get a “YES.” The cool thing is as you get better at getting “NO’s” it will take you less “NO’s” to get a “YES!”

2. Get off the emotional roller coaster of the ups & downs of YES & NO!: We see so many people on the emotional roller coaster ride of MLM. Get off the emotional roller coaster! Don’t get too excited about a “YES” and celebrate your “NO’s!”

3. Take a month & stop setting “YES” goals & set “NO” goals: Take a month and STOP setting “YES” goals and set “NO” goals ans watch what happens.  Go out and set a goal to get 5 to 10 “NO’s” a day and watch what happens. Your business will explode!

Darren Hardy Publisher and Editorial Director of Success Magazine recently interviewed Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz authors of Go For NO! which was excellent. If you have not read the book, listened to the audio CD or watched the movie  Go For NO! it is a must!
