The picture above is the “Life Is Good!” car parked outside the “Life Is Good!” store in Durango, Colorado.

Over the Memorial day weekend I took a road trip to visit my brother, Garrett Ford, in Durango, Colorado and to participate in the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic and Mimi was off to visit family in Chicago.

It was great to get out of the Arizona heat, unplugged from emails, phone and social media.

While on my road trip I read “Poke The Box” by Seth Godin and highly recommend the read. The premise behind “Poke The Box” is taking action and failing your way to success. The book is a manifesto about the power of ‘action’ and what happens when you take initiative rather than follow. The more times you “Poke The Box” the more successful one will be.

Question: What are you doing today to “Poke The Box?”

Now that we are back it is time to get back to work and “Poke The Box!”

I love this time of year:  Spring, March Madness and The Road to the Final Four and what it signifies.

Life is always changing and full of surprises! It is how you respond that determines the outcome.

Surprise, suspense, adjustment,  pressure, ups and downs, upsets, teams gelling, teams falling apart and teams that overcome the giants of the tournament……………Butler (9 seed) defeats Pit (1 seed), Brigham Young makes the sweet sixteen after the suspension of a key player, San Diego survives double overtime and Arizona does it again at the buzzer over Texas once ranked #2 in the Country. Who will beat Ohio in the Final Four?

Building a successful network marketing business is much the same. People will surprise you and some will disappoint you. One month you are on a high because you are adding new brand partners like crazy and the next month you are at a low because one of your key downline team members had some family issues and has lost focus.
final four brackets
Oh and the brackets. The brackets are like turns in the road. Hard work, good decisions, discipline,  hustle all lead to a better fork in the road. What choices in life are you  making to be a final four player.  It is the little things that lead to final four results!

During the tournament if a team is defeated they get back up and begin to focus on the next season. In network marketing if you get knocked down the winners in this profession get back up. Are you one to get back up or do you stay knocked down?

Love how the March Madness falls at the start of spring when everything starts to change. The days get longer, trees start to come out, flowers are in bloom. Just shows that things never stay the same. For every fall there is spring and for every winter there is summer. The same applies to building your MLM business. You are either moving forward or going backward. Nothing ever stays the same for long. Are you moving your business forward or backward. The choice is yours!

Lastly GO U of A Wildcats. Beat Duke!

I just found this video on the Vemma YouTube channel and it totally motivated me for 2011.

Interview with Mimi Ford the day before the 2010 Ironman in Kona, Hawaii.
