Annie Sorensen  Success Story

Don’t over complicate Vemma!

After graduating from college in 2003, Annie went to work for big software company as a software designer. Despite a full-time job, she has been very successful in building her Vemma business around her corporate life. Attracted to Vemma because of the ease and simplicity of its business plan, Annie was immediately sold after she understood the quality of Vemma products. “I use it myself and have a wonderful testimony to share with others because I believe in it!”

For Annie, the key to success in any aspect of business lies in goal setting. “Setting goals is something I assist my team with all the time. I help them set standards and remind them of their goals both long term and shot term–hourly, daily, weekly and annually.” She uses the metaphor of a road trip to help her team stay focused and informed. “If you’re going to drive from Kansas City to Los Angeles, you can’t just hop in your car…you have to know how to get there and where you’re going and what to bring. You have to make long term goals and short term goals, it is important not only for myself but to my team as well.” Even with all the planning, Annie knows that there is often danger in over-thinking. “Some people think too hard about what their business is doing. People who are attracted to Vemma are passionate people, and sometimes we need to stop and  remind ourselves of that true passion.” When sales and communicating get overwhelming, Annie reminds herself and her team “to go out there and take it one person at a time. Remind yourself about the passion you had when you first got into Vemma and how to give the gift of Vemma to others. If we don’t give that passion to others, we wouldn’t be anywhere.”

While some of Annie’s team members use a written system, others find their own path. “Whatever it takes to be excited in Vemma and interest people in the product is different for everyone. What’s important is to get to the right people that can pass on the passion and the product.”

Words of advice that Annie lives by? Know your “Why.” Know why Vemma is important to you and your passion. Don’t over complicate anything, make it about other people because when it comes to selling a product like Vemma, its about others, and how it can help them.  Annie also knows that the key to her success is her team.

“I am where I am because of my amazing team, so its really about communicating and knowing there is an option for them. It’s all very exciting!”

When Annie finds free time between software, sales, and Vemma, she spends it with her family, fixing up her house, reading books, and keeping fit.
