There are 6 core pillars in network marketing and the better you become at each of the pillars the more successful you will be. We are always working on improving our skill set in each of the 6 pillars.
1. Prospecting – Prospecting is key. The more you prospect the better you get. NO is the key to prospecting. Get good at getting NO’s and not letting a NO bother you is the mindset of a successful network marketing professional. The more NO’s you get, the more YESES you will get. We make it a goal to talk to 2 people a day 5 days a week. For a great video on the “2 a day philosophy” click here.
2. Follow Up – Following up is difficult for most people including us. It is not that following up is hard to do most people feel uncomfortable doing it. In order to be effective at the follow up it is very important to be organized and keep good notes as to what the “last result’ was. Keeping a calendar with alerts is key to an effective follow up system that will get results. If you follow up with people you have prospected your enrollments will double guaranteed. It takes persistence of 2 to 6 follow up calls to finally get a definite YES or NO. When you get a NO it just means NOT NOW. I can’t tell you how many NO’s we have had where 6 to 12 months later we get a YES from the same person that told us NO. Do this one thing and your business will explode!
3. Power Down – Power Down is defined as working with people in your down-line that are taking action regardless of who the enroller is. When Powering Down take a look at your genealogy in your back office and find those that are building. You are responsible for forming a working partnership and setting brand partners up for success regardless of who the enroller is. Go where the heat is and get them connected with other upline leaders and plugged in to the your system team.
4. Recognition – At the end of the day people want to be recognized for their efforts. This is one area we really need to work on. We do recognize but could definitely get better at it. Put a plan in place were you recognize members on your success team; it is a very important pillar to your success!
5. Leadership – Leadership is about helping others succeed. It’s about working with your team for a bigger cause. When you truly care about other people and a bigger cause people will want to follow.
6. Personal Development – One of our favorite quotes by Jim Rohn is, “For things to change you have to change, for things to get better you have to get better.” This so true! The more you work on you and a proper mind set the more successful you will be in all areas of your life.
