Shannon Driscoll is the winner of the El Tour de Tucson Verve contest. Shannon will be receiving 1/2 case of Verve from us.

We had a great race although we were a little disappointed we did not win the overall mix tandem division for the 3rd straight year. We got nudge out at the line during a sprint finish against another mixed tandem team and lost by .01 of a second. Our time for the 109 mile race was 4:38:02.

The team that beat us was Kyle Gritters and his wife. Kyle is a professional cyclist who rides for Health Net Professional Cycling Team. We beat them last year and will be back again in 2009 to give it another go.

Vemma allows us to be competitive against athletes in their 20’s which the Gritters are! The combine age difference is about 30 years. Not bad! I think we are aging just fine thanks to Vemma.

Travis Tillson and group did a great job this past weekend at their Vemma booth at the Sun Trust Richmond Virgina Marathon 2008.

Below is a recap of the booth from Travis.

We had at least 10 people helping out over a two day period. The booth was open for 4 hours the first day and 10 hours the second day.

Stats:

We handed out around 2,000 samples of Verve and Vemma. We sold around 120 cans of Verve. We had a great response by the people at the Health and Fitness expo for the Sun Trust Richmond Marathon. I know that at least 6 people signed up on the spot and I believe many more will follow in the near future. We learned much and the next one will be incredible. We now know how to “ask for the sale.”

Our name badges were made by Dawn Stepp. She made them out of the “Verve” cards - shatters the competition and some holder from office max.

We had the Vemma Scene and Verve scene playing on the TV.

Overall I think it was a phenomenal experience. It helped the confidence of the 8 people who jumped right in and got their “nose bloodied”, if ya know what I mean.

“I will do today with others won’t, so I can live tomorrow like other’s can’t!”
