212° The Extra Degree captures the essence of excellence in an unforgettable way… At 211° water is hot. At 212°, it boils. And with boiling water, comes steam. And steam can power a locomotive. The one extra degree makes the difference.

This simple analogy reflects the ultimate definition of excellence. Because it’s the one extra degree of effort, in business and life, that can separate the good from the great. This powerful book by S.L. Parker and Mac Anderson gives great examples, great quotes and great stories to illustrate the 212° concept. A warning…once you read it, it will be hard to forget. Your Vemma business will have a target for everything you do… 212°.

Back in February I did a post about the Vemma convention in Las Vegas. One of the things I talked about was the leather chair treatment that Vemma members receive if they have reached a leadership rank of Presidential or above. Each person that is Presidential and above gets a leather chair located front and center of the convention room with a custom embroidered name tag on the leather chair.

Today Chris Curry and Don Carrel emailed the picture below. Chris did a little Photo Shop magic and placed his name on the embroidered name tag that he is going to look at daily and see himself reaching the Presidential rank. He also emailed Mimi and I one that I hung up in my office. Thanks Chris!

For those of you that have watched “The Secret” and practice the principles in the movie this is a perfect example of how to manifest your destiny. Both Chris and Don have said they will be Presidential by the next Vemma convention in 2009. I would put money on it that they will be sitting in a leather chair.

ALSO A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO CHRIS AND DON FOR GOING PLATINUM THIS PAST WEEK!

tyler on bike

Last week I drove up to Phoenix to pick up 1/4 pallet of Verve. Well today I drove up to Phoenix again to pick up another 1/4 pallet, this time of Sugar Free Verve.

I decided to make a day out of it. There is a 60 mile bike ride in Apache Junction, Arizona that I have always wanted to do so I brought my bike and did the ride after picking up the 1/4 pallet of Verve. I left my home in Tucson, Arizona at about 6 AM and got to the Vemma distribution facility at 8 AM and was on my bike at 8:45 AM.

That is the beauty of this business. It gives you the freedom and flexibility to do what you want with the ability to make a LARGE residual income.

As you can see from the picture above I brought my camera. That is me Tyler in my Vemma cycling kit with Canyon Lake in the background. I had a gentlemen from Iowa take a picture of me. After he took the picture he said “what is Vemma?” I told him all about Vemma and handed him a business card. He seemed very interested but I did not close the deal. He said he would take a look at my website and may give me a call or order Vemma on-line.

 t flats

5 miles down the road I stopped at Tortilla Flats to get some Gatorade. Picture above is the Tortilla Flats convenience store and restaurant. They had some hamburgers cooking that smelled really good. Anyway while I was inside the store minding my own business, a couple of  snow birds behind me in line were reading my jersey and the wife asked me what is Vemma? I gave her the whole spiel and by the time I got back on my bike I had 5 things. You guessed it! I had their name, address, email, phone number and credit card information. I signed them up with a 1 pack to try Vemma.

What is your hobby? Who do you hang out with? When you are out and about do you sport any Vemma or Verve gear? People will be asking you “What is Vemma?”

You never know where your next Vemma member will come from.

 wildflowers

It was the perfect day with sunshine and beautiful spring wildflowers everywhere in full bloom. As I drove home I felt very grateful for all that I have.

Taxes, ugh! Tax planning makes most of our minds go numb. And paying taxes, well let’s not talk about that. Or maybe we should? Just for a minute, because I actually have some good news for you. No I’m not kidding! Read on…

Here’s the part you know:

Employee’s W2’s and 1099’s should have been mailed to you buy now. People are being hit hard with the reality of how large a portion of their earnings are going to income and other taxes.

Here’s something you may not realize (no pun intended):

The average American works until May 5th just to pay their taxes. And many Americans have little or no savings or investments for retirement.

And here’s why I’ve brought up this uncomfortable topic at all:

Enter the savvy person who joins a network marketing business, or starts any home-based business this year. As a home based business owner, many of the things you are paying for now, become legitimate tax deductions.

Things like:

  • Your computer
  • Your Internet connection
  • Your long distance and cell phone service
  • A percentage of your rent or mortgage
  • The initial investment or the start-up costs you pay to become associated with your preferred MLM / network marketing opportunity, or other business venture
  • Your vacations when combined with the appropriate amount of business

tyler in phoenix

Today I had the opportunity to drive to Phoenix to pick up a 1/4 pallet of Verve for a member in our downline Ric Erickson. Ric owns a hair salon called Ric Erickson Studio. Ric purchased a Verve Vending machine to distribute Verve in his hair salon.

While I was there I was able to schedule a tour of the Vemma / Verve distribution facility to see first hand how the product arrives at our door. I have to say all the employees were very friendly and helpful. Above is me (Tyler) standing next to one of the many racks of Verve.

The picture above is the final process before your Vemma or Verve is loaded into a UPS or US Postal Service truck. Above which you cannot see, shipping labels are placed on each box. Then the Vemma or Verve box is placed on a circular slide and slid down the slide and then stacked on pallets. Next each pallet is loaded on the appropriate truck on the shipping dock and your product is now in route to you.

Thank you BK! This is called going the extra mile. Little things do make a difference.

We live an active lifestyle and exercise to an extreme. We are always looking for ways to take care of ourselves nutritionally while having a competitive advantage. Vemma and Verve have been the answer for us!

We both compete in cycling races and triathlons and love the whole training process to get race ready. We have both competed in the Hawaii Ironman in Kona, Hawaii. An Ironman event consists of a 2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile run.

Over the last year, since being on Vemma, we have both noticed a huge difference in our training and racing.

Some of our race results since taking Vemma have been:

  • Tyler won Cochise Classic 92 mile bike race in Oct 2007.
  • Tyler won the Saguaro  Lake 1/2 Ironman Aqua Bike in Oct 2007.
  • Tyler and Mimi won 1st place mixed tandem in the El Tour De Tucson 2007 - 112 mile bike race and finish with a time of 4:17:00
  • Tyler finished 13th out of 803 cyclist in the 2007 El Tour De Phoenix
  • Mimi finished 4th in her age group at the Wildflower Half Ironman
  • Mimi won the overall points championship Tucson Triathlon series in 2007
  • Mimi finished 3rd in her age group at the Long Beach Marathon and qualified for Boston
  • Mimi won the Sahuarita Lake Triathlon in her age group
  • Mimi qualified for the Boston marathon

Some of the many benefits we have experience are:

  • Better sleep
  • Faster recovery
  • Not as trashed after a hard workout
  • Improved cardio - Our anaerobic threshold has seemed to have improve by 3 to 7 beats per minute which his huge!
  • Creates abundant energy
  • Boosts our Immune System so we aren’t sick
  • Better since of well being
  • Competitive advantage - better racing results!

All athletes should be on Vemma for the many benefits they will experience! Vemma comes with a 100% money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason you get your money back - no questions asked. What’s there not to like!
