Pictured above Tyler and Mimi Ford with Sherry Phillips before the start of El Tour de Tucson 2007. Sherry was the 4th place overall female finisher. Way to go Sherry!
Congratulations to Collen Laszakovits for guessing our time without going over! Colleen will be getting a FREE case of Verve for winning the contest.
Our finishing time for El Tour de Tucson was 4:17:17. We won 1st place mix-tandem division and set a new course record.
All we can say is Go Vemma! For the last couple of years we have finished around 4:30:00. This year we had our best race yet. The only thing different we did was take Vemma. If you want to be a faster cyclist you should try Vemma if you are not already.
There were quite a few other riders that competed in this years El Tour de Tucson who take Vemma and were wearing the Vemma cycling uniforms we put together. They also deserve a big congratulations!
Micheal Malisewski finished in a time of 4:29:44. This was the 25th El Tour de Tucson and Micheal is one of few riders that has competed in all 25 El Tour events. This was his best time ever. Way to go!
Dianna De Fante finished in a time of 4:38:29. Dianna was the 3rd overall female finisher. She traveled from Brea California to compete in this years event. Great Job!
Tammy Lamb finish in a time of 4:38:48. Tammy was the 7th overall female finisher. Tammy is from Tucson and is a real team player. Awesome job Tammy!
Rodger Hanft finished in the time of 5:14:42. This was Rodger’s first El Tour. What an awesome time for his first century race!
Ross Lamb was our support throughout the day. Thanks Ross!

This weekend in Tucson, Arizona is the El Tour de Tucson. The El Tour de Tucson is the largest one day cycling event in the country. This year the event expects a record breaking attendance with more than 13,000 cyclist from all over the world coming to Tucson to compete in the event.
There are 4 different events which are the 35, 66, 80, and 109 mile race. The 109 mile race is the main event which races around the perimeter of Tucson. There are some big named rides that come to race the event. In fact, names like Lance Armstrong, Greg LeMond and Floyd Landis have race El Tour de Tucson in past years.
Richard DeBarnardis is the race promoter and does a great job putting on the event. Tucson would not be the community that it is without Richard.
Our training leading up to the event has been excellent. We have been recovering faster, sleeping better, and have had more sustained energy due to being on Vemma for the last eight months. The proof will be in our race results.
We will be wearing our brand new Vemma cycling kits. We will post pictures after the event.
We (Tyler and Mimi Ford) were featured in todays local newspaper. See below.
Guess our time WITHOUT going over for the 109 mile event by posting the time in the comment section below. The person that guesses the closest time WITHOUT going over will win a 1 Pack of Verve (24 cans) . Post your time below.
On 11/9/2007 I had the tremendous opportunity to listen to the author of The E-Myth, Michael Gerber speak to a small business called Syncardia. They are the people who make the artificial hearts for people who are in great need for a heart transplant. This is a very important job!
As he was speaking to the people in this company I listened to him talk about the systems they have in place and how they help the company grow. He also spoke about how to empower the people to dream and believe that what they are doing is important in the lives of others. He talked about having passion and desire to make a difference in this world.
I believe that Vemma is as important to the world as an artificial heart. It is a wellness product people can take so their hearts and bodies can stay healthy!! We as a team have an obligation to tell the world that there is a product that can help people to enhance their health and wellness every day.
