Many of us want to get our Vemma business up and running and create an overnight success story, the truth is that having desire alone just isn’t enough. For starters, the top money earners in network marketing make it look extremely easy, but it’s not like they rolled out of bed one morning and became an instant success. They poured hours of blood, sweat, and tears into their MLM business before they became income worthy. Success leaves clues and if you follow what other successful network marketing professionals do you can get the same results.

Even though we have to make our way through the learning curve until everything “clicks” into place, there’s no reason that we can’t shorten the learning curve so that we can spend less time wishing and more time living. By learning from our own experiences and, more importantly, the experiences of others, we can do just that. We would like to present a list of things we have learned the hard way, things we wish we knew sooner, and things that we think new MLM’ers could use to elevate their game to the next level.

We have made just about every mistake imaginable over the last couple of years on our path to continued success.  It takes taking action and falling flat on your face to learn those valuable lessons. You have to take action and not be afraid to make mistakes. The only way you will succeed is by failing forward.

1. Keep it Simple

When we first started sharing Vemma with others and looking for Vemma brand partners we made things way to difficult. We loaded new prospects up with tons of literature, audio CD’s, emails, weekly calls, website links, etc. It would have taken a new prospect a month just to go over everything before they could make a decision.

We now keep it real simple and just share a great product then ask “Why don’t you give it a try?” The key is to get people on Vemma, Verve, Vemma Next and not load them up with tons of information. I must say the one thing we have done well is being able to get people to try the products. The more people you share Vemma with the faster you will go. Some will eventually turn into Vemma brand partners and you will begin to duplicate yourself.

2. Have a System

This is the area we failed miserably. We were great at getting people on Vemma then lacked a system to put people into action. We have since learned it is extremely important to have a simple written system to put new brand partners into action.

3. Say Less To More

Don’t be afraid to talk to anyone and everyone and don’t prejudge. You would be amazed on how little you need to say to get someone interested in Vemma. Saying less is often times more effective than giving someone way more information than they need to know.

From personal experience there have been times where we were meaning to talk to someone only to find out that someone got to them first and they are already in Vemma. If you don’t talk to the people  you know someone else will!

4. Personal Development is Key

As you improve your skill set your income will go up. Your income is a direct reflection of YOU!

5. There is NO Such thing as GET RICH QUICK.. but if given some TIME, anything is POSSIBLE

The network marketing profession can create great wealth and a very nice weekly income stream but it does not happen over night. It is a 2 to 5 year commitment.

When we first joined Vemma we had some financial issues, due to the economy, and needed to make BIG money fast which we quickly realized was not realistic. Once we came to the realization that we could meet our income goals but it would take time is when we started to move forward with a long-term commitment to the profession. Too many people get in wanting the quick buck and are gone tomorrow. Don’t be one of those people.

6. Taste… Share… Follow Up… DAILY!

Set daily goals to Taste, Share, Follow up. The more times you repeat this process in a day the more successful you will be.

Step 1 – Taste: Invite people to TASTE the Vemma Nutrition Program.

Step 2 – Share: SHARE tools, SHARE the product stories.

Step 3 – Follow UP: Follow up within 48 to 72 hours.

Follow Up is key. When we first started we were good at the Taste and Share but failed with the Follow Up. When we started to Follow Up is when we started to move or business forward. DO NOT FORGET THIS STEP!

7.  If what you are doing  is not working then change what you are doing

If you are working hard and not getting the results you are looking for you need to evaluate what it is you are doing and make changes. Many times it can be just a few small changes in what you are doing to get the results you are looking for.

When we first started working our Vemma business we got off to a very fast start then had a period of 6 to 9 months where we went sideways and even backwards. An upline leader looked Mimi straight in the eye and said “If what you are doing is not working change what you are doing!” We quickly made some huge changes in what we were doing which allowed us to move forward again. The two big changes we made were #2 and #6.

8. If The Birds Eat Your Seed Plant More Seed

It is very important not to chase people around. Many times someone will be interested and then go cold on you because of an outside influence. The mistake people make is they chase the same people around rather than go find new prospects.

We used to chase the same people around not understanding why it is they don’t see Vemma as a product they should take and a business they should build. The best thing to do is get over it and move on to the next person.

9. Be Everywhere

I think sometimes the top money earners in our profession forget what it was like to be in the trenches of having to build the business from ground up. Many of them have been in the profession for 20+ years and have a huge network of people consequently, to their credit, they don’t have to do what many of us have to do to make things happen. Don’t get me wrong, at one time they did but they forget what it was like to start from day one.

You have to incorporate your own personality into your system while being everywhere. Stay true to yourself.

Below is a list of things you can do to prospect:

  • Home events
  • Be a part of clubs and organizations
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Be an Ambassador of Vemma by wearing Vemma and Verve gear
  • Do expo’s and booths
  • Be an expert and give talks to organizations on Health and Wealth

10. Hustle!

Yes there is work involved. You need to hustle. The harder you hustle the better you will do.
